Meet Jessica

Hi! I’m the photographer behind Stricktly Canine, and I’m so glad you’re here!

My love for photography started way back in high school. Like many things in life, though, my path with photography took a few turns, and for a while, it became more of a distant passion than a daily part of my life.

Then, in college, I was introduced to the world of dog sports, specifically dock diving. There’s something incredible about watching a dog and human team work together while competing in their favorite activity. I wanted to capture that split second: the excitement, the determination, the personality, and all the little moments in between.

Through dog sports, I rediscovered the reason I fell in love with photography in the first place: being able to create a lasting memory for someone to look back on. Stricktly Canine was born from that passion, through we started off more on the dog training side, which gives us an understanding about dog behavior that many photographers may not have.

My goal is to create photographs that do more than show what your dog looks like. I want to capture who they are; their goofy expressions, their drive, their athleticism, their quirks, and the incredible bond they share with their people.

Whether your dog is flying off a dock, competing in the ring, chasing a ball, or simply being their wonderfully goofy self, I want to help you preserve those moments for years to come.

Because our dogs give us so many unforgettable memories. They deserve to be captured.

Some Fun Facts About Me!

While I photograph all dogs, I'm slightly biased towards Australian Shepherds!

I own two Australian Shepherds, Ivy and Riddler, and one Aussie-Border mix, Winter!

Along with photographing dog sports, I also compete.

Ivy and Riddler have competed and titled in many sports, such as Dock Diving, Barn Hunt, Agility, FastCAT, Scent Work, and more!

I also perform with Ivy and Riddler in shows!

You may have seen us perform some tricks at local events/shows across the US!

I love being surrounded by trees and greenery.

While the desert has it's own special touch, there is something about being surrounded by the green and trees that makes my heart full.

I still play soccer!

Maybe not dog related, but I love getting out and playing goalkeeper for local adult league soccer teams.

My Pack

Ivy

Riddler

Winter

Behind Stricktly Canine is my very own pack: Ivy, Riddler, and Winter.

These three dogs are more than just my dogs, they’re the reason I fell head over heels into the world of dog sports and rediscovered my passion for photography.

Ivy is the one who started it all. She introduced me to the world of dog sports and opened the door to experiences I never knew I was missing.

Riddler brings his own kind of energy and personality to the pack. He’s a constant reminder that every dog has a story worth telling, and that sometimes the best photographs happen when you simply let a dog be themselves.

Winter adds her own special spark to our little family. She joined my family in a different way but we wouldn't have it any other way.

So when you book a session with me, you’re not just hiring a photographer, you’re working with someone who truly understands how much these four-legged family members mean to us.

Meet my pack. They’re a big part of the heart behind Stricktly Canine.
